2026, DigitalBasic Tension (2026) is a two-channel video work that examines humanity’s complex relationship with the climate crisis, revealing the tension between conscious awareness and deliberate disregard.





KOMA
2024, Digital KOMA (2024) captures the poignant transformation of a small town amidst gentrification as it navigates the delicate dance between progress and preservation. Through an observational lens, it reflects on the evolution of local identity as the physical world evolves. The work is not a lament, but a witness to the resilience of place, the fragility of memory and the human impulse to both build and belong.






A Lovely Place
2024, Digital  A Lovely Place (2024) is a short film set in a small snow town just after winter. It explores the fickle yet, dark power of group mentality through the eyes of the outsiders.







Sono Qua
2020 - 2024, 16mmSono Qua (2020-2024) is an intimate portrait of the artist’s Sicilian Nonna, who is living with progressive dementia. The work observes her daily life, shaped by repetition and moments of disorientation, while highlighting the enduring presence of joy through her love of dancing, particularly to the Italian classic Campagnola Bella.

Choir / Opera (2024 ) is set in a snow-covered suburb and turns the familiar into the uncanny through the lens of surveillance. The work positions viewers as passive observers of quiet suburban routines. Shot on six rolls of 16mm film across six days, it uses in-camera experimentation to create subtle distortions. These distortions evoke the fragmented and unreliable nature of surveillance memory. The piece explores how systems of watching shape perception, experience, and social behaviour in contemporary life.

Hard Copy is an independent film collective comprising filmmakers, musicians and artists Jessica Meier, Jessica DiCosta, Alex Middleton and Harleigh English. Working across narrative, experimental and artist moving-image practices, the collective brings together directing, producing, cinematography, editing, composition, score and sound design into a collaborative creative process.

Having worked together across visual art, film and music for more than a decade, Hard Copy develops projects that place image and sound in equal dialogue. Their multidisciplinary approach allows each work to evolve through close collaboration from conception to completion, creating films distinguished by their atmospheric storytelling, rich sonic worlds and strong visual language.
